New Concrete Driveways Built for Michigan Winters

When a driveway is cracked through, sinking at the garage, or heaving every spring, patching only buys a season or two. We remove the old slab, fix what is underneath, and pour a new driveway that is built to stand up to Michigan freeze and thaw, road salt and heavy vehicles.

Spartan Concrete Services is based in Holt and replaces driveways all over the Lansing area. Every driveway on this page is one our crew poured this summer.

What Every Driveway Gets

  • Full tear-out and haul-away of the old concrete or asphalt
  • Compacted gravel base so the slab does not settle
  • Proper slope to carry water away from the house and garage
  • Reinforcement where the job calls for it
  • Saw-cut or tooled control joints to keep cracking in check
  • Broom finish for grip in rain and snow
  • Clean edges at the garage, sidewalk and street apron

Common Questions

Should I replace or repair my driveway?

Small surface chips and a few hairline cracks can often be repaired. If the slab is broken into pieces, sunken, or heaving, replacement is usually the better money spent. We will tell you honestly which one you need.

How soon can I drive on a new driveway?

Foot traffic is usually fine after a day or two. Cars should wait longer, and heavy trucks longer still. We give you the exact timing for your pour, since weather and the mix make a difference.

Do you handle the street apron and sidewalk?

Yes. Where a city or township has rules for the apron or the public sidewalk, we build to them and help with permits where they are required.

Areas We Serve

We also work throughout Lansing, Haslett, Williamston, Mason, Ingham, Livingston and Washtenaw counties.
